Thanksgiving 2009

We spent Thanksgiving at home this year; no surprise there since I had just gotten out of the hospital the day prior! We were at Susan and Tommy's house, and there was quite a crowd. The food was good and the company was even better. I was a bad mom to poor Lillie. I'm afraid her head was not properly supported in the pictures!

11/22/09: Lillie's Here!

Our family's newest addition arrived on her own time: early! After a morning of contractions, the whole family headed up to to Lexington Medical. While we did not expect to be bringing home a baby a few days later, it all turned out okay. The last picture is right after we got home. Her first perch was in her Cousin David's cradle. (Thank you, Aunt Donna!) We made it home in time for Thanksgiving. And we even made it to Thanksgiving dinner. But more on that - later.

Summer & Fall 2009

We had a good summer. Not only did we make it to the beach, we spent quite a bit of time on Lake Wateree and visited (great)Grandma and Grandpa Cornes in Ohio. As summer merged into fall, we fell back into our school-year routine, with one exception: we were looking forward to a new addition to the family: Lillie! More on her later. :)

24 April 2009: Sara-Kate's 1st Birthday

These pics are from Sara-Kate's first birthday. Some are from the party, and others are from the day of. The cake is obviously from the party. I very much enjoy the picture of Sara-Kate napping with Daddy. Classic.

Easter 2009

Sara-Kate's first Easter was wonderful. We went to the family service which was a good thing because she decided to work out her vocal cords mid-homily. But she was so cute doing it....And then she was so tired, she started her nap before we got home!

Trip to the zoo....

We went to the zoo for the first time since the Lights before Christmas, and we actually saw some animals! Go figure what you can see if you go during the daylight....

After a long absence....

We're still alive and well, but I just haven't been posting very much recently (obviously). However, I've got two new pics to share. I especially enjoy that fact that Sara-Kate has taken to re-arranging her clothes cart. I guess it's time to invest in a real chest of drawers....
